Something for everyone this weekend
Baseball, pets and shoppping….? The Smile Generation will be bringing smiles to a lot of faces around the country this weekend.
Do you LOVE baseball?
Then you’ll be glad to know we are sponsoring some MLB teams including the Texas Rangers, the Dodgers, Angels and Diamondbacks. Watch out for special giveaways this season and other fun events.
Something we’re really excited about is that the Smile Generation is donating to several foundations – for every strikeout made at home by the Texas Rangers, the Smile Generation will donate $10 to the Rangers Foundation, for every Los Angeles Dodger win at home, we will donate to the Dodgers Dream Foundation and for every double play scored by the Arizona Diamondbacks at home, we will make a donation to the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation.
In addition, we have some fun stuff lined up with the Sacramento River Cats too. Stay tuned!
Here’s a video taken from last week’s Opening Weekend at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington, TX. The Rangers beat the Red Sox. This video shows Dr. John Barnes, Regional Partner and Owner Doctor of 17 area Smile Generation approved offices in Texas throwing out the first pitch.
Do you LOVE pets?
If you love pets and find yourself in Nevada, be sure to check out Pet-a-Palooza this Saturday. Have you RSVP’d on Facebook for the “largest pet party in Nevada!?”
The event is presented by radio station Mix 94.1 and it is the 12th year they are having this event. There will be lots of booths, rescue groups, live music and fun for the family. Performers include American Idol’s David Cook, Train, Fefe Dobson and Andy Grammer. Pet-a-palooza will be held on Saturday, April 9, from 10am–6pm at Star Nursery Fields at Sam Boyd Stadium, 7000 Russell Rd.
Do you LIKE Shopping?
Shopping for a cause is always a reason to smile. If you are near the Thousand Oaks/Calabasas, CA area this weekend, visit the Just Between Friends Spring/Summer Sale.
Just Between Friends is a consignment event that gives parents the opportunity to sell their children’s gently used clothes, furniture, equipment, toys, etc. and get a portion of the money back. This allows lower-income families a chance to get some money back for items they’re no longer using and/or purchase items at a significant discount. The rest of the money made from the sale of the items goes to a non-profit organization each JFB event supports. For more information, visit http://thousandoaks.jbfsale.com/
The first 100 people through the door get a goodie bag, which includes dental kits donated by our Smile Generation affiliated offices namely, Camarillo Dental Group, East Oaks Dental Group, Moorpark Dental Group, and Mission Oaks Dental Group.
This event benefits, in part, the Lighthouse Women’s and Children’s Home.
