Smile Generation & Special Olympics SoCal Summer Games

Smile Generation®-trusted team members spend the weekend serving special needs athletes

What an incredible event! The experience of volunteering for Special Olympics is one of the best and most memorable you can have. They take such great care to make sure athletes and volunteers come together for an unforgettable affair.

The Smile Generation sent around 80 volunteers to the Special Olympics Southern California Summer Games. They spent the weekend serving over 1,100 athletes and their families at Cal State University Long Beach. Team members staffed positions in the Smile Generation-sponsored aquatics area and worked in the busy festival area at the photo booth and game zone for athletes.

Smile Generation-trusted dentists and hygienists provided complimentary dental screenings, oral hygiene instructions, free mouthguards and optional fluoride varnish through the Special Olympics "Special Smiles" program.

All the volunteers loved being a part of the Summer Games and are looking forward to the next opportunity to serve at the Special Olympics World Games July 25–August 2, 2015!
