Smile Generation Donates to Children’s Hospital during Ducks vs. Blues Hockey Game
Last Sunday, March 10, the Anaheim Ducks raised funds and awareness for Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC Children’s) by hosting CHOC Night when it played the St. Louis Blues at the Honda Center. The Ducks went on to win the game 4-2. The Smile Generation recognized CHOC night by making a monetary donation to CHOC Children’s for each of the Ducks’ 4 goals. It is the second year the Smile Generation participated in CHOC Night.
Fans attending or watching Sunday’s FOX Sports West telecast were able to participate in the “text to donate” campaign. There was also a silent auction with Ducks memorabilia.
CHOC Children’s was named one of the best children’s hospitals by U.S. News & World Report (2011-2012). It is exclusively committed to the health and well-being of children through clinical expertise, advocacy, outreach and research that brings advanced treatment to pediatric patients. Affiliated with the University of California, Irvine, CHOC’s regional healthcare network includes two state-of-the-art hospitals in Orange and Mission Viejo, CA.
